Security Guard Training
Each individual who passes our screening and selection process and is hired as a security officer must complete the SAS, Inc. Officer Training Program. Whereas training in many other security companies ends with orientation, our approach is distinguished by an ongoing commitment to employee development. The employees training progression is outlined in the following schedule:
- Classroom Orientation
- Post Order Review
- On Site Training
- Next Day On Site Review
We are proud that we spend close to 20 hour with employee training before he is left alone on the site. After the preliminary training employees are brought back to classes on a regular basis for further development. SAS, Inc. basic training and continuing education covers these topics:
- Introduction to the SAS, Inc. organization and company regulations and procedures.
- How physical security systems work: Purposes and principles
- Rule and responsibilities of the private security officer
- Powers of arrest and detention
- Patrol procedures
- Responding to alarms and intrusions
- General material control concepts and procedures
- General procedures for keys and electronic security devices.
- Fire prevention and safety inspections
- CPR and the control of bleeding
- General First Aid
- Client and public relations
- Conflict management concepts and techniques
- Report writing logs, journals and security communications
- General emergency procedures (for earthquake, fire, flood, etc.)
- Responding to bomb threats, hostage situations and other emergencies
- Baton, Mace, Paper-spray (certifications or per account requirement)
- Handcuffing
- Firearms qualification (per account requirements)
These training are administered by the management directly to officers in a classroom style setting where they also cover power to arrest, PR-24, Police Baton Training, CPR, First Aid, Report writing, Arrest Technique, Tear gas Training.
